Young people online - EngageMe.net came out of a project in NSW looking at "moblogging" (use your mobile phone to upload photos, create community around discussion of images).
Community and Culture:Feral Arts, a group in Brisbane who work with community and culture, eg building up people's stories online via "placeStories",
Online activities from the Teaching and Learning Online (TALO) crowd, "engaging filler activities".
"Glasgow learning city" - a few years ago, Glasgow set up a city-wide learning venture, aiming to bring adults back into community learning (both online and face to face), via shopping malls and sports centres as well as community learning places. At the heart of their campaign was some basic "Learn to Learn" resources, such as "Sharpen Up" (avail. as pdf. 5mb) . (This is still part of their 'REAL' learning city.) Definitely worth a look for inspiring ideas.
"Learning to Learn with Style", a project from LiteracyNet in the USA, has a good overview - but they promise a video, and give no clues about how to get this video. (Interesting to compare this with the approach in the ARIS resource. Which one do you like better?)
